The school, one of 10 University of California campuses, offers a wide variety of agricultural programs; its Viticulture and Enology department provides professional education for aspiring winemakers. Located between Sacramento and San Francisco, UC Davis also has colleges and professional schools in biology, engineering, education, law, business, medicine, and veterinary medicine, and it is recognized for its research programs. UC Davis enrolls more than 30,000, including about 6,000 graduate students, and it has a student-faculty ratio of 16:1.
