I explained that I had overnight experiences during my internship which lasted 16 hours and then had been expected to stay through our educational time the next morning for another three hours (after having worked the previous day before the 16 hour overnight started. I was asked if I had experience handling conflict and, if so, to give a clinical example.

I explained that working through conflict and not avoiding it was something I had worked on during my residency. I then shared a clinical example of a pediatric patient in the ED whose mother had two children who had previously died. She was traumatized and angry that the doctor wanted her to leave the room where her son was. She was angry and emotional and I helped her work through that. I also worked with the doctor while explaining she was being traumatized by the separation from her son. Less
I was asked if I had been in a position before where I was free to make decisions on my own and how did I use that freedom.

I answered that my congregational placement allowed me freedom, as the pastor was responsible for 5 congregations and I was expected to preach 3 times a month and that the pastor never heard my messages. She trusted me to give the congregation what I felt called they needed to hear. We did meet each week to discuss the direction my message for the following weekend was headed. The pastor never once suggested something outside of what I was thinking. I used this freedom to raise the awareness of the congregation that their faith required more than Sunday pew setting and ways to carry their love for Father, Son and Holy Spirit beyond the church walls and out into the community.
