Also you are tied to you phone and desk and it is frownd upon to work from home.

Yes I got the job but it was not what was sold to me and was not negotiable as far as a possible change. I would be viewed as a difficult person and crt baby. the job is 95% on the phone and if needed a visit to your territory. In my case i am based in Chicago and cover obscure accounts in the southeast. so none of my 20 plus years of relationships mattered to them. Less

I cannot recall the exact questions but they were programming related and logic questions.

I am going through this process myself. First time, was contacted about 2 months ago- took the first test and it was super technical for a sales role and it also had a number of questions that would be more fitting for a test after attending a bootcamp. Very detailed about how their organization would best do business. Which there is no way of knowing just from reviewing their website and research. I told them it made no sense for a sales role and I declined to go further at that point. They recently reached out to me again...just a very strange process. Not the fact of having assessments but the audience they give them to. Less

Really, there were no surprises. As I said above, the expectations were set very clearly from the in-house recruiter. They have a very specific type of person they're looking for, and all the hard work preparing for the interviews and presentation pay off!

Are you okay with frequent travel?

2 Answers

Sure. Is it in the territory? The answer was no, frequent travel is international, so you'll be flying into Roumania and Colombia. This only came up as I confirmed that there was travel. It seemed more important than a last minute footnote. There's a lot they don't or cannot tell you since they are based in U.K and the U.S. team is new. I suspect that they are acting like a start-up -- with attendant growing pains -- despite the touted longevity of the parent firm. Less

PROS

Interview questions were conversational with most people but became very textbook questions from senior managers. Question from senior management centered around if you read their favorite sales book and knew the one or two key answers they wanted to hear.

2 Answers

The questions were easy to answer because the hiring manger would tell you the name of the book (ahead of time) the senior manger read and followed. No original thought required Less

Interview with SVP of Sales was punctuated by long silent pauses based on the recent book read on how mangers should interview. Rest was nothing but a blind recital of recent sales book and buzz words. Very superficial. Less
