Can you tell me if your withdraw button disappeared from your submission status during this process? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with mine. Hoping that it's not a bad thing. Less

I do not think you can withdraw answers once the actual interview begins!! Hope you had good luck! I'm preparing to start training here soon and can't wait!!!!! Less

During the live interview, do they ask more interview questions? Or is it more like going over the position and requirements? How long did they say it takes to hear something back? Less

Crossover for Work

Assessment test I didn't pass.

0 ▼ If you need help passing the CCAT (hardest part of the process in my opinon) I passed it by studying ruthlessly. I found this site that has the same CCAT as crossovers and just took that a bunch of times. crossoverccat[DOT]com I recommend this for anyone that has the proctored CCAT coming up. The salary is $15 / hr which is really good in my country. 40 hours a week min/max. Less

f you need help passing the CCAT (hardest part of the process in my opinion) I passed it by studying ruthlessly. I found this site that has EXACTLY the SAME CCAT as crossovers and just took that a bunch of times. CROSSOVERCCAT(dot)COM I recommend this for anyone that has the proctored CCAT coming up. It is the SAME test as CROSSOVER for WORK I woulden't have been able to pass without it! Less

1. Google Video Meet Screening: Super casual chat with a recruiter in Ireland. He was very pleasant and polite. Just be positive, upbeat, and relate what you do to Shopify Support. (i) Why do you want to work for Shopify? (ii) What do you do in your current role? 2. Gauntlet: Very tricky at least for me. I think this is where I messed up, because of nerves and not being able to resolve the issues quick enough. The Recruiter posed a lot of side questions in the chats that prevented me from answering the main questions in a timely manner. 10 Minutes for each chat, but these will be done at the same time. Pay attention to both chats, gage them interpersonally briefly, and recommend solutions. (i) Chat 1: "How do I add Contact Information to Main Menu'? (Customer has a Teapot Store, and will be trying to catch a bus in 10 minutes) (ii) Chat 2: "How do I add a shipping rate for all local orders?" (Customer is based in Vancouver, operates a Plus Sized Female Clothing store and wants to apply the rates for local deliveries". The recruiter then asked for feedback on these two chats and gave me feedback on how to improve. Commented on what she liked, and addressed how I could improve. (iii) Phone Chat: Customer wants to delete their store. The Customer has lost motivation to keep up their store. Try to convince them to stay and mention that Shopify has resources, and can help them improve their store. Bring up Facebook Marketing. After the phone screen the interviewer gave me feedback on what they liked, and provided me feedback on how to improve the answer and approach with the customer.

I got to step 6, which says "Congrats" It was a scheduled call to discuss the hiring process and tech interview in depth. After this is the offer letter. Recruiter scheduled the call at certain time, and basically canceled last minute. Second follow up followed saying that they had actually fulfilled all jan/feb spots and are looking to hire late spring 2021. They remain positive that they would chat again about the tech interview (step 6). Not sure if that's a nice way to get cut, or if it's actual first consideration for the next round. I guess not enough to impress them over others, as I too found it difficult to finalize both chats same time. Less

Thank you so much! This is extremely helpful, as I have my gauntlet interview in a week! I'll definitely be coming back to read this a few times! Less

Where I messed up: (1) I tended to one chat, and left the other chat unanswered for too long. I didn't resolve the issues in either chat. But I did my best to be empathetic. The time limit and constant firing back of additional questions in the scenario threw me off. Because I tried not to copy and paste the steps from the Support Site and put them in my own words, I couldn't resolve either chats. Be cognizant of the time-limit! I took the advise positively, and honestly it was a real challenge, and I hold no anger or resentment to the recruiter. (2) In the phone chat, I took some of the feedback the recruiter gave. So When they asked how to cancel their account, I tried my best to empathesize and help the "customer" not cancel their account, but to take their time and learn about other approaches. I mentioned there were additional resources to help, and I could provide them. Lastly, I reassured the customer that the data would be preserved for 90-days. But the recruiter threw me off by asking more and more about the helpful services shopify provides to owners like marketing. Obviously, I didn't know much because I focused on basic features, so I fumbled. OVERALL: -If you find yourself like me and not able to multi-task, stay calm, and stay focused, you might not pass. It would also help to know some basics about the site. I thought I prepped enough, about half-a-week, but I booked the latest time I could do the technical interview. -I think at least for this season they are trying to hire as many SAs as quickly as possible. So the interview process was streamlined quite a bit. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REJECTION EMAIL YET, BUT I ANTICIPATE IT IN THE NEXT DAY(S) BASED ON MY PERFORMANCE IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL GAUNTLET. Less
