I had a very odd experience with the recruitment team at Zoox. I was asked very personal questions about my personal life including what profession my partner is in and exactly which company my partner works at. When I made it obvious I was uncomfortable the interviewer still continued. I was also asked exactly where I live and what the birthdate of my child is. When I generally said his birthday, the person interviewing me said but what was the actual year? I found all of the probing to be extremely unprofessional and unwarranted. Recruiting professionals should know far better than to ask probing questions into a candidate's personal life. I felt very uncomfortable. I read the company's Glassdoor reviews and this seems to be a regular behavior of the recruiting team. This unprofessional probing led me to decide not pursue the interview process further. Definitely not good practice on the part of your recruiting team Zoox. You don't want to build an employment brand of being known for asking probing personal questions & behaving like your too good for candidates.
