      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at X (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2023

      Interview

Very difficult, but luckily I cleared it. The questions are involvesd in understanding legal frameworks, compliance policies, operational processes, and communication skills. Having a clear understanding of legal policies, operations, and compliance is key to succeeding in this type of interview.

      Application

      Interview

Applied for this position at Twitter, Singapore. Received an email from the recruiter on being shortlisted for a Phone Interview. I was asked to choose the timing for our call based on the calendly schedule shared. I booked a time slot for the following day and prepared with much enthusiasm. Next day, anxiously waiting for the call that was scheduled I kept myself pumped up with confidence as, this was much awaited dream company for me. Finally, the time for call was nearing and I also decided to be prepared for a video call, if the recruiter wanted me to switch on the cam. With bated breathe and after a couple of rehearsals to introduce myself, I locked myself in the room and the time was up. Kept looking at my mobile frequently and logged in my laptop to check the schedule but to "NO USE". 30 min call schedule got over, I waited another 30 min and still nothing. Everything in Vain. I told myself maybe the recruiter was busy with their schedule and sent an email politely reminding them that I was awaiting for their call. "GHOSTED", Forget an apology for wasting all that time and effort, Not even a reply came back. Not even a rejection email. Agree, that the company is one among the Top Tech Global companies handling a high influx of applications but ghosting a shortlisted applicant doesn't look good upon them. "The applicants are not just a .pdf file or a piece of paper, don't forget that they are humans with aspirations to work for your company and a dream of landing a job that could lift their lives up". HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL RECRUITERS and Highly inefficient hiring policies.

      Interview

Whoa!! I am compelled to pen down my experience here as it has been a very agonising and frustrating one. Having been ghosted by a recruiter in SG, after going through multiple rounds of interviews and even following up is very disrespectful. It's unprofessionalism at its finest! Especially after being given feedback having reached almost at the end of the line that it has been going well and you expect some positive outcome. But to completely drop the ball and not respond to follow-ups is unpleasant. You might have various legitimate reasons to not continue - a shift in your priorities, something not working out, and that is OK, but is there any decency left in the industry to give candidates a closure at least? You can pick up the phone, respond to follow-ups, there are a gazillion ways to communicate today in our digital era...at least merit the applicant some form of communication? Not to mention one of their own employee being very inept and lacking in his interviewing skills. It is beyond disrespectful for anyone, and being a senior candidate this is even more appalling. Do they even think about the time and mental investment one puts into the process - it is such an emotional experience on both a personal and professional front and takes time to get back into the game after having been considered unworthy of even a response? Where is the maturity? I can just conclude this as a poor recruiter sitting in a position to potentially mete this treatment out to many others too. Why would you want to work for an employer that shows so little consideration for candidates anyway?
