I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Westpac Group (Sydney) in Sept 2021
Interview
Psychometric test is the first step. When I passed it, there was an initial screening call. Third step is a formal interview with immediate manager and team lead. Fourth step is an interview with entire team (God knows why they do this!).
Screening call was easy. I failed the second level interview. But this manager recommended me to another team in Westpac itself. Then they did another second level interview. Questions were straight forward and mainly around data analysis tools and experience.
When I passed this level, they did a third round interview with entire team. Initially I was told this is a half an hour interview and at the end there will be one MCQ test to test the knowledge.
This interview went for 1.5 hours. The main problem was that everyone wanted to ask questions. There were 6 or 7 people in the interview. Shooting questions from all directions at you. This was not at all a pleasant experience. When they were asking all these questions, I thought they were really interested in me. But after finishing the MCQ, they told me that they think my experience is very less and they don't want to proceed. I want to ask them whether they actually read my resume or not. I have clearly mentioned what I have worked on and for how long. They could have easily ended the interview in 30 minutes.
They just wanted to have fun at lunch time questioning someone and making fun of. Some of the team members were actually quite rude when asking questions.
