      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at WalkMe (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Oct 2020

      Interview

Applied, had my CV screened and passed (without anyone calling etc.). Got response end of October 2020 - to do a home assignment. They explained in advance that before I'd be interviewed, I'd need to pass the first assignment and later another assignment. They made clear in advance that they will not be responding to any questions or clarifications, et cetera. All that's available for solving the assignment was their online FAQ etc (which were horrible) and generally check online. I did the first assignment and did not pass it. It was disrespectful in many aspects. First, it required some 2-3 days to complete. Second, it felt that it was more about testing and doing quality checks of the product than anything else. Their excuse was that they wanted to see if the candidates know how to learn by themselves... Third, I didn't manage to implement one thing (a 'sub-question' if you will), although I spent about three hours trying to sort it out. I've thus, after submitting the assignment, specifically requested an explanation how it was to be implemented. I received no response. They totally ignored it. But (fourth) they did not ignore the bug I've encountered in their product. Not at all. They wanted me to dig into it and give them more information about it. Not before they told me I didn't pass, that is. In short, I felt it was absolutely disrespectful of them - the process and their attitude for candidates' time and energy.
