Position: Software Engineer/Full Stack Tech Stack: Java/Spring, Angular JS, AWS, Struts (OLD TECH STACKS) Expected CTC I asked them: 10-13 Experience I had while Interviewing: 2 years 3 months. PROCESS: The interviewer called me through my Naukri profile asked about my current CTC and expected one (usual questions of Recruiter). There were total of 4 Rounds(3Technical + 1 HR) out of which I was able to successfully ace all 3 but when I asked them to schedule my last one which was just a HR round with basic HR questions the recruiter said me that we are holding back this position since now we are not hiring for Software Engineer we are hiring for Managerial Role and we will get back to you with next 10 days about our final call. Starting with the process I said the recruiter that I have experienced this quite few times now and I expect that after all the round is completed I am not ghosted BUT this tragedy struck me again. Round 1: With Team Lead Questions: Which language you prefer, I said Python. Questions around Python post brief introduction of myself. Asked me if you can explain me some Python concept with an example Verdict: passed Round 2: With Director of Engineering Questions: He was most chilled out person I have met online was resting on his bed and was constantly smiling Questions: Will you be able to work with Spring since I know you're more inclined towards Python and Django. Asked me about REST API in Detail. Questions from my resume on the project I worked upon. Questions related to current role I work in organization and how you collaborate with them. I was fumbling a lot while answering but he said I know because I was in your place 6-7 years back, he was constantly give me confidence that you can answer. NO LEETCODE OR CP QUESTIONS ASKED :D Verdict: Passed Round 3: VP of Engineering Questions: Do you know your role and explained me what your contribution would make. I asked him can I work on VOOT platform and whether you think VOOT will be able to manage as same as Hotstar when the time comes. This question actually triggered him in a positive way and said that we are constantly working on it since viacom is now acquired by JIO and they want to advance their User Experience. Verdict: He was okay with my answers and I felt I passed this as well Round 4: HR + Cultural Fitment Called the Recruiter after 10 days and he said we have been asked to hold for this position since we need Managers & I was left ghosted by saying we will get back to you as soon as the position revives back. Verdict: Wasn't able to give the last interview since they holded back the position within 7 days. It felt strange to me but as an candidate I think I still tried my best.
