Know your stuff in and out. Situational questions. Hypothetical questions. Be sharp and focused. Will be more than one interview and more that one interviewer. Be ready to ask questions back.

attended walk-in for several positions(software engineer, specialist, lead, architect etc), selected as tech lead. all work related questions will be asked(no written exam), only 2 levels and one HR. background verification is very time taking process. takes a month. not sure why. many companies do background check even after joining

I had to wait for 2 months for the first call, by the time i got the first call i have already resigned and out of my previous employers. First, I wasn't wiling to attend the interview as I thought it would be mere wast of my time and also i had other offer (didn't want to ditch the new employer). But HR insisted me that if i am fit for the role i will be offered the same day... and from there-on its all good... as he promised HR issued the offer the same day evening.
