I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Huntsville, AL) in Jun 2012
Interview
I applied May 10th...got a call May 14th from HR in a different state to schedule a phone interview for the 21st...the lady was very nice and sent me a job description via email. The phone interview was a thorough review of all the dates of your previous jobs, so make sure you write all those down beforehand so you can reference them. The interviewer was the same HR lady who called to schedule the interview. Again, very nice. A few STAR format questions, then I was scheduled to take a skills assessment on site on the 29th. It consisted of 7 sections testing your multitasking skills and character. Honestly if you just focus its not that hard. Once I finished, I was taken out of the room and told that I passed, then was immediately scheduled for another phone interview with local HR on the 31st. He was very nice, again went over and verified my employment dates from previous jobs and asked several STAR format questions. Google if you need examples. At the end of the call I was scheduled for the final interview, which is face to face, on site, for June 4th. The interview consisted of four STAR questions and listening to recorded customer calls then answering questions. The manager I interviewed with was very friendly and told me I would hear something either way within 7 days. Today, on the 3rd day of waiting, I got the call and accepted the offer.

The interview was conducted virtually. It was for the customer service position. Mostly I was questioned about how I would handle various scenarios, for assisting clients. I was asked some real world examples and asked to handle them.

Question 1
How would you handle an angry or disgruntled customer?
Lengthy and the paperwork is extremely confusing to fill out and submit. Thank you. But other than that really nice people. They hire through a 3rd party called Rose International…. Very helpful people
Unprofessional interview, and unfair. Being bilingual and many years of customer service experience they decided to pass due to many years of experience. The interviewer also looked unorganized and was bias.
