I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at USA TODAY Co. (New York, NY) in Sept 2015
Interview
Such a disappointing experience, not only once, but twice. Interviewed for two separate departments at different time periods both of which were for the same type of position. The first time was an in person interview with the manager and I was told a decision would be made the following day. After feeling great about the interview and being encouraged to reach out I did. Twice. I was ignored and received a generic "the position has been filled" months later, thanks for that. Second time was a phone interview followed by a second phone interview in which, again, I was encouraged to follow up or offer feedback. I did. I was ignored again and received another generic email a few weeks later. Here's an idea, be a little more considerate of your candidates and don't offer to interact and respond to them if you don't intend to.

The interview that I had to get the Sales Specialist Position at Gannett Publishing Company that was pretty easy. It involved an initial phone interview then face to face. Required a drug screening for employment.
