My PI was sweet but stern when she needed to be. The interview process with her basically included questions about your work ethic and your personality. Most look for a well-rounded person who can adapt quickly and is also able to work independently.

Asked generic questions about who I am, my work history, how I resolve conflicts with coworkers and technical questions about my role and responsibility. Had a panel of three who took turns asking questions and sharing additional information about the role.
They were very friendly asked questions about myself. Asked to summarize how to perform a qPCR. They never made me feel too stressed and appeared to be very understanding. They were open to discussing salary
