I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at U.S. Virgin Islands Government (Saint Thomas, VI) in Jun 2020
Interview
Interview request came nearly 8 weeks after submitting application, but process was quick and second interview was scheduled for the following week after which I accepted the offer. First interview was very general, questions about my knowledge of the department and division, got stumped on being able to talk about the duties of the other divisions though. Discussed implications of relocation, realities of VI living, and mostly my similar experiences living and working in other tropical islands.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at U.S. Virgin Islands Government (Frederiksted) in Dec 2012
Interview
Good. Only saw 2 people who interviewed me. Interviewer was adept at not leaving room for negotiations. Every effort was made to get training for my successful operation in the position including hiring me a few weeks early to guarantee I attended training for this new undertaking. Emails and phone communication went a little slow after the initial contact.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at U.S. Virgin Islands Government (Charlotte Amalie) in May 2010
Interview
Background check, Campaign. I was subjected to a background check, a drug test, and a personality test. There were multiple interviews, including a test of character. I had dinner interviews, traditional interviews, group interviews, and phone interviews with the employers. I was also subjected to an IQ test, and a personality test. The campaign process was rather expensive, and I had to provide my own funds.
