Thrustmaster of Texas interview questions

The interview went well or at least I thought. Hiring manager seemed excited about bringing me on. However when I received an offer letter it was for a different position. I contacted the recruiter and asked and received little explanation other than it was not a mistake. Seemed very unprofessional and shady and I declined the offer.
