I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Sept 2024
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter to provide my availability for an interview with HR, send salary expectations, and respond to a copy-paste question that had grammar mistakes, making it difficult to understand even after asking others for their opinion. After that, I didn’t hear back for a week until almost the last date of availability I had provided. Then, another person contacted me to ask for my availability again, which was confusing, but I gave them new dates. The interview wasn’t confirmed until the day before, when I sent an email to ask if it would take place or not. I was told at this point it would be a panel interview, but it ended up being with HR again. One hour after the first interview, I was contacted to schedule a second interview with a manager, which I confirmed and had the following week. I was then supposed to be scheduled for a third interview with a hiring manager, but they ghosted me. I followed up with recruiter but never received a reply. This was a psychologically destructive experience, with no respect for the candidate’s time and it says it all about the company’s environment.

Interview
The company has its own internal recruiters. There are several telephone interviews before you meet in person. When you meet in person, you will be interviewed by several members of the department staff as well as a human resources professional. There is quite a bit of company information online so you will have plenty to research as you decide if this is the company for you. This is a great company at a time of change, growth and opportunity.
