I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Vitamin Shoppe in Nov 2010
Interview
The interviewing process is very very long.
It starts with entering your application on the website. Then there is a phone interview and then a 1 on 1 interview.
You do have to pass a background check and they do require you to pass a drug test.
The interviewing they do is a little different than normal - it is very specific as to what questions they ask - and they keep asking until they get the answers they need.

Question 1
I think the most difficult part about it was that they like a complete picture of every instance or circumstance that they ask about - and it can be difficult to remember. It can also be difficult simply to find an example of what they are looking for.
Quick, pointed questions about experience, knowledge of company and hypo situations. Great conversation with store manager, got to get a tour of store, back, meet the Regional Director since he sat in on the meeting. Hired within 2 weeks!

Question 1
Q: How would you handle a difficult situation with a customer?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Vitamin Shoppe (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview wasn’t too difficult. He asked about my past experiences and various scenario questions. My store was very short staffed so I was asked about my availability as well because they wanted me to start very soon. I would say she wasn’t really a good interviewer.
