I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Teavana (Short Hills, NJ) in Mar 2013
Interview
The two people conducting the interview were unprepared. They made me wait an hour only to tell me that they could not conduct the interview because it was busy in the store. Had to come in at another time, wasting gas money and my time. Completely unacceptable.
It was a one time, in person interview where they explained it was going to be the toughest job I had ever had. Slightly true. They said it was still fun because it’s retail, but there was a lot of learning the product.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Teavana
Interview
I applied online and was called to come in to the store to interview with the manager. The interview lasted about 15-20 minutes and I was called and offered the position the following day. The whole hiring process took about 5 days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation where you disagreed with a coworker. How did you solve it?
The interview was easy but the manager didn't seem very interested in the interview. The interview started very late from the given time and barely lasted 20 mins. When I entered the store the only other employee was getting a lecture for not meeting sales goal and it seems like it's a common theme among teavana.
