Once applying you will be reached out to by a recruiter then you will typically go through 2 more interviews after the recruiter before receiving a job offer. Of those 2 interviews one is typically conducted at the store level then one will be conducted at the district level before extending a job offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interviews will consist of Situation based questions
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Aug 2010
Interview
Just like the other comments on this site, I applied online and in about 2 weeks, received a call from a recruiter who asked me some general questions and a few behaviorial-based questions. Scheduled a 1:1 interview with local office. At local office, interviewed by two store managers and the DM. I prepared rather well for answering behaviorial questions and believed that I did well in the interview. I am 39 with some experience and the people interviewing me were clearly younger than I was, so, in conjunction with reading some of the comments on this site, I concluded that I would likely not get an offer, even though I am well-qualified and felt I did well with the interviews. I treated the entire experience as a good "practice" interview for other jobs that I plan to interview for. I have always been and will continue to be a Target shopper though! :)
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Give an example where you made a mistake and what you did to recover from that mistake?
About 30 minutes long. Ask behavioral based questions. I would strongly recommend that you come up with 5 really great past work/school situations that you are proud of and find a way to use those examples in any of your answers. Also be sure to always have a tangible outcome for every answer.
