I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Stellantis (Detroit, MI) in Feb 2021
Interview
I had an interview at this company a few years ago and I was hesitant to post about it online, but I was a sophomore in college at the time and I landed the interview through a referral. The interviewers were rude and made faces at me and frowned and in general were very rude. I later contacted the interviewer for feedback and I was accused of having sex with someone related to an employee to land the interview, was called the w-word, and then asked what my parents did for a living. I felt ashamed and embarrassed afterwards and felt less confident in future internship interviews and more unsure of myself. Overall it felt deeply offensive and I was shocked as I was only about 19 at the time. I don’t know if this is standard behavior for an interviewer at this company, but it does seem that this employee has some significant seniority at this company. I was also compared to someone who applied who attended CMU and was put down after asking for feedback. The interviewer was extremely hostile. Overall, I would not recommend applying to this company. I recall the interview questions being somewhat nonsensical brain teasers.
