Applied online. I make certain my resumes are tailored to every job and that I use the right keywords, show the right experience, and detail usage of the required technical skills. I don't waste my time on jobs where I'm not qualified.
The recruiter was knowledgeable and professional, but I didn't very far into the screen because the hiring manager wanted someone with expertise in a specific software...a program that wasn't listed anywhere in the job description or on my resume. This software's function is ubiquitous, and most companies consider the skill interchangeable with 4-5 other popular programs (some of which I have experience.)
And, again, it wasn't listed anywhere in the description or on my resume. I would've never applied if it were, and I don't understand why they even contacted me.
