Was all very friendly and welcoming until they offered me the job at a much much lower salary because there was a 'more experienced' candidate, even though I met all of the experience requirements their advert had. I'm pretty sure there was no other candidate and even if there was that's no justification for slashing the salary offered originally. If you value a candidate, treat them with respect.
