Interview process included an initial online interview with interview panel and a second in person interview that took a more informal direction. I was asked for my references a day after the second interview which I provided. They contacted one of the references provided and asked for another reference at my most recent role. When I responded with additional contacts, they ghosted me. When I asked for an update on my application a few days later, I received no response.
After going through a month long interview process, I caution anyone interested in working for this organisation to be weary. My experience with organisations that lead with proclaiming to be "values-led" is that these are the worst organisations to work for and they are in fact the opposite of what they proclaim to be. In my experience, you shouldn't have to go out of your way to shout to the world what your values are, you simply exhibit them. Before my first interview, they sent a list of questions they would ask, including their values and asked me to think about how I encompass them, one of them being integrity. Safe + Equal did not have the integrity or basic respect to communicate with me about not getting the role and instead decided to ghost me which is incredibly unprofessional. I take this as an indication of what it would be like to work there and happy that their lack of integrity and accountability was made apparent during the interview process.
