I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Republic Services (Lawrenceville, GA) in Aug 2014
Interview
Overall the interview experience was pleasant but not sincere of what was to be expected. You never got to see the area where you actually work until the first day you start working. There is no tour of the building. No talk of how anything flows

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Republic Services (New Brunswick, NJ)
Interview
First, I received a phone interview and after a couple of days received a call back to come in for a face to face. The supervisor I met with was very nice and the atmosphere of the office seemed pleasant- I felt I could see myself working there. The interview process was about a half hour with questions regarding my current job and then moving on to the famous "tell me about a time" ones.
The entire process itself was a good experience, however, at the end of the interview I did ask if I would hear back whether I got the job or not and I was told I would hear back no later than a week. I did send a thank you email as well as a follow up a week later to inquire about the status but never received an email or a call back.
As one who is going through the interview process, it is very frustrating when you are told you would receive a call/email back yea or nay and you do not. I followed through with the proper "interviewee etiquette" so the employer should have as well.
I applied online. I interviewed at Republic Services (Jacksonville, FL) in Jun 2015
Interview
After submitting a resume perfectly suited to the job and showing years of experience in the exact same job functions, a phone call with their in-house recruiter Jessica left a bad taste in my mouth. She was snotty, seemed to take an instant dislike to me, and the feeling was mutual. It's unfortunate that my info will (I'm sure) never be passed on to the local office due to the conversation I had with Jessica, who is in another state.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
After seeming instantly put off by the way I said "Hi," (not even joking), there was a stiff pause and then Jessica said, "So tell me something about you." I'm sorry, but that's too broad a question and not a good way to lead into an interview. Telling her about my personal stats in not appropriate, and she's got my work history in front of her. What does she want?
She asked about 2-3 questions and they were the most standard, boring questions from every job interview you've ever had in your life..."Where do you want to be in five years?"
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Republic Services (Houston, TX) in Jun 2015
Interview
My initial interview was a phone screen which took about 10 minutes at most. A couple of weeks late I was called in for a 1 on 1 which took approximately 30 minutes. Interviewer was really nice & professional
