The first two interviews were a brief screening and a cultural interview. I felt these were pretty good, and did have me excited about the company. This was then followed by a challenge, and finally a third interview.
I was told the third interview would cover what I submitted for the challenge. This was not the case. Instead I was given questions to answer on the call. This usually isn't a problem, however the questions were asked by a consultant that has a vested interest in Pod Point not building up their own resource (they currently provide developer resources). The types of questions asked were often speculative in nature and irrelevant to the role.
For example, I was asked why Salesforce had designed certain parts of the platform in the ways they did. I don't have visibility of a 20 year old codebase, and any technical debt in their that may influence decisions, and wouldn't need to know that to execute the role. It felt to me like the consultancy was trying their hardest to keep the role unfilled.
