      Customer Service Associate Interview

      15 Oct 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Brooklyn, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paper Source (Brooklyn, NY) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I've been waiting for the moment I could finally write this review! I had my interview on Wednesday, Oct 7th at their Park Slope location. I found an ad on craiglist that led me to their website and I applied online sometime the week before (probably around thursday). On Saturday I got a call asking me to come in for an interview and I was shocked at how quickly I got one! The interview itself was very lax and comfortable. I felt right at home, and I'm sure it was mostly in part to my interviewers' personalities. I was interviewed by the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. I brought in a copy of my resume, which turned out to be very handy because they only had one printed out. My interview lasted well over an hour, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was pretty basic with general, vague-ish questions that I feel let your personality show more through how you answered rather than what you said. Enthusiasm definitely helps! At the end of my interview, I filled out some papers and on my way out, the SM asked me to stay a little longer to wrap a "present" because I mentioned how good I am at gift-wrapping. He gave me some ribbon, scissors, tape, and craft paper and let me wrap it while he rang some customers up. I thought it was a very quirky, but fun surprise. :) At some point, they also analyzed my outfit and compared it to what was accepted as dress code (I had on a black shirt, colored cardigan, light gray skinny jeans, and some beige flats. Everything was good except my pants, which needed to be darker. I was expecting a strict, funeral-esque dress code, but they really seemed to like what I had on!).
