Question 1
Case study referencing to the hiring process, with three different scenarios and asking what would you do - who would be considered - why, why not?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pacifica Housing Advisory Association (Victoria, BC) in Jul 2015
Interview
Phone and in person . I applied and they called me weeks later. I had to write a brief summary on harm reduction and housing first. Had a in person interview and was offered the job.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pacifica Housing Advisory Association (Victoria, BC)
Interview
Interview was friendly and casual. Very client centered approach and bio/psycho/social/spiritual framework. Important to be able to articulate harm reduction and anti-oppressive practise theories. All in all, it was an interview that was conversation-based and as much about the interviewee scoping out the ethics of the organisation as vice versa. Overall, the interview was a pleasant experience and I left feeling good about the hiring team and the organisation.
