I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PCORI (Washington, DC) in Mar 2020
Interview
Pretty standard process. I applied online and was asked to do a short phone screen with the HR recruiter. This was fine except that after I had submitted to her my availability she did not get back to me until about a week later and well past the initial availability I had submitted. The phone screen was followed up about 2 weeks later with a request for an in-person meeting with two individuals to whom this position would report. Once I arrived to the scheduled interview one of the individuals that I had been scheduled to meet was not there and was instead replaced by another person whose connection to this position was not made clear and the substitution was never addressed. I found this to be a little disconcerting. The conversation was standard procedure, review of resume, queries about interest in the position, etc. I will say that I perceived a loss of interest in the conversation by the scheduled interviewer about 1/3 of the way through which made the process more challenging to bring to an end. Overall a bit disorganized and lackluster process.
