I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at OpenText (Waterloo, ON) in Nov 2009
Interview
I was approached by a representative of the company. Did a phone interview with this person. She indicated that I had the skills and experience and would pass the information to her Manager to setup an interview. No communication then for 5 months. I then get an email out of the blue asking me to do a phone interview at a specific time and date with less than 48 hours notice. No explanation for the 5 months of silence.

Question 1
The interview was not difficult and I appeared to have the skills and experience they were seeking.
Thank you for providing your feedback.
I'm pleased to hear that your perception of our screening process is not too difficult and that we valued your skills and experience.
It is very important to understand where our strengths and gaps are in our recruitment process. I agree: no response for 5 months is simply not acceptable, and is not our general practice so I have followed up with the individuals involved to understand why it took so long to respond to you, regardless of the outcome.
There may have been a very good reason for the delay but that has to be communicated and quickly.
Again, thank your for your honest feedback. I appreciate it.
