I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Musicians' Union (London, England) in Dec 2024
Interview
I was given a short task prior to the interview, which was an admin/email response task. When I initially walked into the interview, nobody shook my hand despite me reaching my hand out. This also happened again when I exited the interview. Before the interview began they put the questions they were planning to ask me in front of me, and gave me less than 5 minutes to read them. This was also the first time I was seeing these questions. The panel seemed very disengaged and the interview was very short. I was then essentially rushed out of the building before I could even grab my bag and coat I had left in the other room. They said they would let me know the outcome the next day, but I didn’t receive an email until after the weekend. The email was generic and blunt in tone and they offered zero feedback. Overall the experience felt rushed, like they had most likely already picked their successful candidates, but were obligated to still interview me.
