      Team Leader Interview

      14 May 2019
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (London, England) in Mar 2017

      Interview

Telephone interview, asked about my knowledge of Mars and the Five principles. Why I was applying for the role and what drew me to it. Feedback a couple of days later and asked to attend a day interview panel. Interviewed by various senior managers and the plant director. First interview was team based and how you are able to work together, but also how you communicate to articulate your views. Second part was individual and a situation regarding an employee who isn’t performing. There was some role play in the this from senior leaders with others taking notes on how the conversation was progressing. The final part in mine was an interview with the plant director and was much more informal, asked about experience, coaching style, what I thought of the site and again “why Mars”.

      Team Lead Interview

      25 Apr 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Hackettstown, NJ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Mars (Hackettstown, NJ)

      Interview

The interview was full of basic Behavioral Interview type questions. Overall, it was rather easy for anyone who has worked in a manufacturing environment and has a magnetic personality. My advice is just to be yourself, make small jokes and don't be afraid of your interviewers. They're looking for someone who they know can fit into the role but can also mesh well with the group they already have in place. I usually don't feel comfortable enough to share personal experiences so early but my interviewers were more than welcoming and made me feel very at ease.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Describe a situation where you had to deal with confrontation between two direct reports and how you handled it.
