I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY) in Sept 2017
Interview
Completed 2/3 of the interviews. #1 was a very friendly phone call with HR, talked through my resume, why Macy's, what the program is like. #2 was a video call with a buyer who worked her way up the ladder. Was very analytical, heavy focus on data and what to do with it.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Explain a time when you had to analyze sales data and make an executive decision on the next steps to take.
The interview process was lengthy but very conversational. I think there were 3-5 rounds. There was also a technical interview for your specific function that you took online in a closed browser.
It was easy. Just be yourself and don’t overthink it. First was a 15 min screening call over the phone. Then a 45 min zoom call with another individual. Questions related to past experience and how you deal with certain situations.
There were 3 rounds. The first is just an hr screening. You then have to take 2 exams for the second round. After the exams there is one final round. The process was very straightforward.
