Interview
I first talked with Macy's at a College Recruiting Fair and from there applied on the online recruiting system. I attended a Pre-Night Info Session the night before the interview that discussed the details of the interview. We reviewed Macy's strategies and the recruiters also told us to research other initiatives the company was taking. The next day was the interview which consisted of a 30 minute behavioral interview and the second part of the interview consisted of a presentation type interview.
I met them at a career fair at my University. Then signed up for an interview on the site. They accepted my request and I was scheduled for an interview. They had a pre interview gathering where they let you meet your competition and your potential interviewers. They gave us all hints and prepared us all for the interview making it a fair playing field.

Question 1
They ask you behavioral questions such as what are your personal goals. Describe a time when you had to lead a group. Describe a time when you had a disagreement in a group. Then there was an immediate second interview that you had a case study where you had to pick one of many employees to council based on the information they gave you about each employee.

Interview
Applied in January, got a call in March asking to interview. Attended the pre-night, which is extremely helpful and I would encourage everyone invited to go to it. They will ask you questions in your interview pertaining to the pre night that would have been very awkward to answer if I hadn't gone. The interview the next day was two parts, each at 30 minutes. The first part was a coaching activity where you are given a detailed description of different employees and which one you would choose to coach and how you would go about it. The interviewer leaves the room for 15 minutes so that you may prepare, and when they return you must present to them. It sounds scary but it was actually very fun and easy. The second part of the interview was a behavioral, typical interview where they ask you questions about yourself. Dress business casual for the pre night and business professional for the interviews.
