Many companies who do business supporting deployed military contracts aren't very careful or selective. They simply need "boot on the ground." If this is the type of work you're looking for, find someone who's already been deployed and find out from them what it's really like and make sure you understand what you're getting into. Deployed contracting isn't for everyone and depending on the line of work it may require convoy travel. Make sure you know what's required of you based on the contract. Some companies restrict convoys as a means of travel for their employees.
