MAERSK Interview Questions

Interview with recruiter, overall very positive. Relaxed chat about my background. Downside was that the recruiter was in a different country than the position so he wasn't sure about many things related to the role.

Interviewed at Maersk - Student Assistant Position Received a call from a recruiter approximately one week after applying. I had a first round interview with the hiring manager. Very nice people.

Initial screening involved behavioural and competency based questions. Asked about some programming paradigms, and details about previous projects. Were also asked to describe how we overcame setbacks, and how we contributed to group settings.

The hiring manager was not aware of the job responsibilities, was not able to provide any information on the actual tasks, the workload and the team. The HR came unprepared, with almost zero interest in success of the interview

I applied through GradCracker and received an email saying I have gone through the first stage and was called for an online interview. The interview was a mixture of competency and behavioural based questions with some technical questions related to the role.

At first I was contacted by a recruiter some way back in March 2022 and send me a referral link to apply. After a month I was contacted by another recruiter and we have a friendly chat. He asked me some questions about logistics & services. After few times I received a congrats that I moved to the Case study phase, which I successfully took. In June 2022, I was contacted by the same recruiter who interviewed me, and he told me that I was succesful in my previous phases, so we discussed about the salary expectations. Then I waited almost a week before he called me to ask if I was ready to relocate as the job was located in a different city than my home city to which I accepted. He said he would contact me if I were succesful. Since June 2022 I've not heard about them.......not a single feedback....

Total five rounds, first hr screening, second wit hiring manager, third with business product owner, and rest rounds are left for me. basic questions related to previous role n experience.

1. Screening Interview with a call by HR, 3 days after I had a presencial meeting with the hiring manager. All the questions were operational questions answered by the STAR method

What would you expect if a 6 yr EXP takes your interview when you are 12 years Exp ? the whole process was very lame. Assessments were not up to the mark. Questions seemed to have come up directly from your Engineering syllabus. The interviewer "Poulami Roy" was almost 6 mins late to the schedule and had no time sense. She had some predefined set of questions by which she was assessing me. No business related problems, no situation related problems but just some basic syntax related questions. Apart from that she had high attitude problem. Kept on advising me on how should I do better in my career. hmm.

Phone screening, 1st interview about 15 mins, 2nd interview about 45-60 mins, final interview about 15 mins. Too much interviewing process. However, you get to know in detail what you will be doing in your daily task in the position.
