I had been considering a career change, so I applied to the role. i was sent an automatic invite to hirevue. i understand the potential "ease" from the recruiter's perspective when incorporating assignments that candidates can do during their own free time. However, I'd highly recommend at least letting the candidate speak with a human being first before requesting a candidate dedicate their time. the hirevue platform is broken. for one of my questions, I was only given one response (i accidentally clicked the finish button and it cut me off. i was under the impression i'd get another retry, but now it just looks like I submitted something that wasn't a full answer. this would not have happened if I had the chance to speak to a human being). Lastly, the games are not relevant at all to the role. When you ask for a candidate's time, please be respectful of it. each candidate has to dedicate their time and play these "pointless" games that have nothing to do with their qualitifications. applying for roles is a full time job and you are having your candidates waste time by going through this. While I would still love to find a similar role, after going through their interview process, I now understand that this is not going to be a fit for me personally.
