JLR ghosted me after completing a 90 minute interview and several tasks for them. I chased relentlessly, only to be told there must have been a 'lack of communication on their end' as I should have been notified they offered the job to another candidate. This wasn't a matter of days - it was weeks. I emailed, phoned, spoke to different people trying to get an update. It's disgusting how these big corporations don't feel the need to acknowledge someone who invested their time and energy into their brand. After a generic apology, I was told they'd definitely chase down the hiring manager to provide me with feedback, only to be met with more tumbleweed.
During the actual process, it was all a bit shambolic and presented some notable red flags. I had to prepare a presentation for the interview, but was only given the details about this less than 48hrs before the interview. I was told the interview would be in person and got details around coming to the office, but then the afternoon before I receive an invite to a video call link, creating more panic and confusion. I successfully complete the 90 minute interview, and several days later I was asked to complete some tasks. I couldn't access one of the Lucid boards, and it took ages for me to be granted access, so I received an extension on the deadline. I sent everything across, and then *nothing*.
Maybe it was a departmental thing and not a true representation of the entire company, but it was an extremely disappointing experience from such a prestigious brand.
