This is a contracting company which holds a variety of IT as well as knowledge management and development contracts. I was contacted by a staff of the project for which the position I applied to would be housed. During the interview I learned that the position I applied to (which was still posted on the company's website) had already been filled months back but they were interested in speaking with me about another position. The interview was pretty standard. The interview was informal and interesting. They requested I submit my references and a biodata form. Shortly after the interview they contacted my references. Over a month after my references were contacted, I was contacted with an offer. I never interacted with anyone from the actual company (no HR people or otherwise).
