Got phone call from the HR and had great conversation. Was approved for technical interview the next week with a Sr. scientist in the company. The interview was technically moderate with pretty easy coding questions from python and sql. The interviewer did not ask many questions ans spent most of the time talking about the projects and the company. One week after the interview, got a call from the HR receiving feedback. They said the interview was good and the interviewer had great conversation, but they are looking for a more experienced person for this role! Asking basic questions (coding questions you typically learn in high school) and then expecting a more experienced person for level II role? I had years of academic and industrial experience! Extremely unprofessional behavior.
