      Project Manager Interview

      7 Jul 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Vancouver, BC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ImageX (Vancouver, BC) in May 2016

      Interview

A very thorough interviewing process which clearly demonstrated to me that they were laser focused on finding not only a great new professional to bring on board with their team but also someone who would be an excellent cultural fit. My experience was a phone interview with HR followed by a video Skype interview with a member of senior management and then capped off with a panel style interview with 4 ImageX team members around the table ranging in roles from executive to project manager to business analyst. The panel interview kicked off with a 5 minute Powerpoint presentation that they had previously requested I prepare which was actually fun and exciting to do, especially related to topics that I was eager to discuss in the interview anyway! The questions from the team were wide-ranging in scope yet thoughtful and constructive and I found myself speaking more candidly about my opinions and experiences then I had expected. In short, it was clear that the entire process had simple, key objectives: a) Can you do the job? b) Do you want to do the job? c) Why do you want the job? d) Explain why you would be a good fit in our company

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ImageX (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2016

      Interview

The interview was a 4-step process that allowed me to meet my supervisor and colleagues in both a casual and more formal setting. The process began with a phone call then a coffee meeting, followed by a more formal interview in the office. The final stage was a presentation in front of a panel of five of my future colleagues. The process went quickly, which I appreciated, and there was feedback every step of the way. There was plenty of time allocated for me to ask questions because I believe interviews are a two-way process; it's about getting to know the employer as well and determining if the company will be a good fit for both parties.
