I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IDinsight (New Delhi) in May 2021
Interview
When I interviewed in 2021, the process was quite disorganized. I was often asked the same interview question in multiple rounds. At one point I was also asked quite basic "brain teasers" in the 4th round of the interview (which I did get right). By my final interview I was quite demotivated to perform since I had another offer.
I only did the first round. Questions about fit, case study and then your expectations. The case study was difficult - the questions were about research design, evaluations, and sampling. It is not structured like a consult case study.
A practical case with specific questions on impact evaluation methods, confounding factors, potential biases, and practical on the ground tips. Additional questions to understand motivation, fit with culture, resilience to field work are included in the interview
Had the written assessment of 2 hours that focus on the overview of the Impact and Process Improvement Team. Pt 1: Project plan that you would use to implement a proposed system. Pt2: What steps would you take to create a high-quality set of resources.
Did not receive proper feedback on the written task.
