I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2018
Interview
This consisted of the various segments:
1. Initial phone interview with the recruiter -> going over the CV and work experience
2. Interview with the hiring manager -> defining what a Business Systems Analyst does and the past experience that overlaps with the role
3. Interview with 2 general Product Managers -> stakeholder management, raising issues, working with a Product Manager, various scenario based questions
4. Interview with 2 Business Systems Analysts -> database activity, various scenario based questions, competency questions
5. Interview with 2 Product Managers that I'd be work with -> going over the CV and work experience, stakeholder management, various scenario based questions
Each segment allowed for questions to be asked at the end.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot in Oct 2021
Interview
Very long, slow process, but I believe that means HubSpot is very careful who they hire. First I had a call with the recruiter, who was awesome with following up and answering my questions throughout the entire process. My chat with them only happened maybe a week and a half after they originally reached out to me. Then it was another week and a half until I got a call with the hiring manager. From there, I got regular updates from the recruiter about the status of my application, but that the hiring manager was still evaluating who would go to the next round. It was almost 4 weeks until I got a final answer. The next stage of the interview would have been an assessment (technical) and then a loop with 5 people.

Interview
The first interview was amazing and actually made me really excited about the job. It was a dialog.
The second interview was unpleasant, after I said two sentences the interviewer totally disconnected. Fine, judged me quickly that I'm not a good fit or he didn't like me. But then for the rest of the interview, I had to sweat to get his attention - he looked so uninterested and like he was about to yawn, so disrespectful. If you think someone did not answer your question, just ask again and ground the other person. Help - we are the ones nervous and overexcited, you're at home in your cozy jumper not giving a 'you know what'. Just felt unfair.
Three interviews with Hubspot, two unpleasant - maybe I'm not good enough, or maybe you're just thinking you're so much better than others that you can't focus for 30 minutes. Wish you all the best.
