I interviewed for this position about 4 years ago. The phone screen was pleasant, but the in-person interview was absurd.
The manager was incredibly unprofessional. She complained about the current front desk receptionist (who I am assuming that I would have replaced). She also took a personal phone call from her brother during the interview. I assumed it was an emergency, but she told me she was planning a vacation.
I left the building assuming I did not secure the position. In my current position as a Human Resources Generalist, I use this example during hiring/recruiting training for new managers of “what not to do”.
The interview itself was not difficult; standard questions.
I did not receive a phone call or email informing me that I did not receive the position (which I also use as an example when I train new managers).
