I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Jul 2008
Interview
I was referred to them from an unnamed source. Recruiter was very professional and explained the job in detail, as well as interviewed me thoroughly. I had to take an online personality test which took a couple of hours. Recruiter attempted several times to set up meetings with hiring manager (Regional Sales Director), but his travel and mine didn't coincide (not their fault).
I was able to arrange a phone conversation with the hiring manager, and we seemed to hit it off well. We agreed the next steps would for me to travel to their offices for a day of interviews as well as do a presentation.
I cut off discussions because a couple huge commissions were coming through at that exact time with my then-current employer.
Bad mistake on my part - it is a great company and I regret not following through with the interview process.
They said they will call me back and I did not hear never again. I was disappointed. They mentioned good salaries in Spain - it looks they maintain the European band.
We had a zoom call to discuss role and experience, although I did not fit the role in their opinion I got al the feedback I could ask for in further conversations over text.

Question 1
What do you know about the company, have your pitch ready.

Very intensive, they really grill you using the "STARS method" so make sure you have plenty of examples of prior deals and how you overcame something to win them. Overall a good learning experience but probably a little over the top
