I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GALLO (Modesto, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
Telephone interview was with a conference with 2 people, going over common questions about background and education.
After passing that round, I was invited to a day-long orientation process with other applicants (some for IT like me, others for the business side) that toured the ground of the winery and included wine-tasting. Breakfast and lunch were catered. 3 rounds of interviewing also happened, asking various technical questions (a few repeats).
Standard team oriented engineering questions. See below Tell me about yourself, one time you worked in a team and had a dispute, one time you solved a challenging problem walk me through your thinking

The interview process was overall good, the first round was a phone screen and was pretty short. The second round was a zoom with behavioral questions. The interviewer was very nice and easy to talk to, it was pretty conversational.

Do you have experience in sales and what did that look like? What experience or skills do you have that would prepare you for sales?
Focus on grit, sales experience, and desire to learn. It was first a coffee chat, and then two rounds of interviews. It was important to follow up. First interview was with the SLDP manager and the second was with a director
