I applied online and was quickly contacted by an Exact Sciences recruiter for a 30 minute phone screen. The next step was a 30 minute phone interview with the hiring manager. I then had an onsite interview with 6 different team members (Director, Associate Director, Lab Supervisor, Hiring Manager, Project Manager and an HR representative). Each team member interviewed me for ~30 minutes, using the STAR format, and focusing on the core values of the company. Half of the interviews were in person and half were telephonic. Be very clear on why you are interested in Exact Sciences and why, particularly, you are interested in the position. Those questions were repeated several times. After the onsite interview, the hiring manager called me for a brief 20 minute conversation to assess my interest level and ask a few final questions. I was extended an offer about 1 week later. Overall, I was disappointed with the interview process. The onsite interview was not organized well and lacked professionalism (the phone numbers for the dial-in calls were not available and had to be "tracked down", no one presented a business card, I was asked to show myself out of the building!!, I was not aware half of the interviews would be telephonic, and I did not leave feeling excited about the position or the company. It felt rushed and disjointed. I also was not impressed by the team members education or experience. In general, it didn't feel like a "top tier" company. I did find the employees to be very friendly and it seemed like a comfortable working environment. I declined the offer because it was significantly under market . That, coupled with my onsite experience, did not make me feel valued.
