The process was highly unprofessional. Despite confirming my availability, the first interview was scheduled at the wrong time, and the technical round was rescheduled three times at the last minute with no explanation.
The technical interview was just a scripted checklist. The interviewer claimed 19 years of experience across manual, automation, performance, and AI testing, yet the only automation-related question was how to find an element inside an iframe in Playwright. Questions were extremely primitive (e.g., “What is testing?”), with no interest in real experience, problem-solving, or innovative thinking. Any answer that didn’t match his notes led to unnecessary pressure and nitpicking. For example, when I answered, “checking the application according to requirements,” he pushed back with “What do you mean by requirements?” and asked how I would test the login page with no fields for username and password. I guess he expected to hear "checking if the application meets the expected behaviour".
The second interviewer (a manager) didn’t join at all, though it seemed someone else was in the room off-camera. After the interview, communication stopped entirely - it’s been almost a month with no feedback or closure.
Overall, disorganised, outdated, and disrespectful of the candidate’s time.
