I applied in-person. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (San Diego, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
The process took about 2 months for me. My initial application was lost and I was asked to fill out another when I went in the store to check in. Once I turned in the second application, it was about a week and a half before I was called to schedule an in person interview with the manager a couple of days later. When I went in for the interview it was like she was trying to sell me the job! We chatted nonchalantly about the staff, hours, availability, and pay for about 30 minutes before she set me up in the system. Very easy, very relaxed. If you really want a job here, persistence and checking in is key!

Came in and asked for the store manager. He took me into the office and asked a few questions. Questions : Why do you want to work for Dollar Tree? Do you know anyone that works here? How you deal with Multi-tasking? How you deal with pressure?
Got the job. (Mainly through Nepotism).

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (Tequesta, FL) in Jan 2026
Interview
Went to interview and was nervous about answering questions for the job and depending on how I answer them. That would determine if I get the job or not. But it wasn’t like that at all. The store manager was super friendly and straight forward with everything. Applying was super easy online.
Very simple and easy was hired on the spot. More like a friendly conversation than an interview, was 30min-1hr long. Given tour of store and full run down of responsibilities
