I had a coffee shop and technical internview about how networks generally work. They wanted to make sure you can explain your methodology, and that you have good customer interaction skills.

I received a phone call from a recruiter and scheduled an interview. They conducted themselves professionally and the interview was on-par with industry standards. I left feeling the interview very good about the company.

More than 8 rounds interview with peers, VPs. I applied the position online and got recruiter's call within one week. The whole process is more than two months, the questions are about the previous experience, culture fit

3 people on call. Ask general software questions. Simple coding challenge. Code to identify pallindromes. Interview was friendly. They seemed nice. If you don't know, don't bluff. Will not be well recieved

The hiring manager reached out about a role that had no information about the business unit the role supported. In the interview, the hiring manager didn't provide any information on the business unit or the initiatives the role would be supporting. Instead, the hiring manager asked a series of pointed questions surrounding their business initiatives and strategies they were currently working on or had just completed. I don't believe there was an intention to interview someone to join their team. It felt like a fishing exercise for them to get information to help validate or further the actions they'd taken (or planned to take) on their initiatives. It felt incredibly unfair and taken advantage of. Disappointing, given everything Cisco stands for.

The interview process was pretty standard, but very long and drawn out. In the end, I was verbally offered the role by both the recruiter and hiring manager in three separate phone conversations. After waiting for multiple weeks and my email follow-up being ignored, the recruiter let me know they would be making an offer to an internal candidate, and tried to claim they had never made me a verbal offer. The way the situation was handled was incredibly disappointing and does not give me confidence that this is a company anyone would want to work for.
