The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Buffalo, NY) in May 2012
Interview
I saw that Chipotle had a sign saying they were hiring so I applied. I knew people that worked there so I had some good referals. Handed in an application online, the application online is really easy, and wasn't really time consuming. After that, waited 3 days, and called in to check on the status of my application. I was told that their computer was down, and that they would take down my name and call me when they reviewed it. About a day later, I was called to come in and talk to the general manager for an interview. It was very casual, he came out and just asked me about my work history, and how I would be in certain situations. I was told to come back the next day to meet with another manager. Came in the next day, it was very casual, he offered me a drink, and the interview was very easy, I basically already got the job after answering one question.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
